This is such a fantastic community! I know my children and I really love it here, as do our close friends and family The people and businesses here are a huge part of what makes it such a great place to live. They are places that I have had really great experiences with and/or are special to me and/or my children in some way. I am sure that you will find them just as special and will enjoy them too!
Dana Dahlquist is an amazing golf professional for both adults and children alike. He has provided private lessons for my children for 5 years now. I could not ask for a more knowledgable, patient, professional teacher for my children. He has provided everything from video swing analysis to skill drills, short game instruction, and on-course lessons for my girls. He has my four year old making contact with the ball on the range, and she is doing so with proper grip, line and speed. She is so excited she is now even trying to golf at home with legos! Dana has her truly loving the game! Dana has my 12 year old golfing with the academy and now she is even considering golfing on the high school team as well as a college career in golf. Kidnastics is a great gymnastics center with a wonderful positive environment for children of all ages. It is a non-competitive gym where children are encouraged to grow and learn through positive reinforcement, praise and rewards. You will never see happier smiling faces at another gymnastics center than the children in the programs at Kidnastics. My daughter has been in continuous enrollment at Kidnastics since she was four. She is eleven now, and still happy and progressing. Now at age 11, she is an advanced tumbler and Gymster and has moved on to Cheryl Vuong's adv. tumbling programs and all-star cheer team. Cheryl is an amazing teacher who promotes "ohana". Her girls are very supportive of their teams and each other, they clap arnd cheer for each other when they stick new stunts and have an amazing camaraderie. Cheryl does not just focus on winning but also teaches her girls good sportsmanship through many ways including the passing out of good luck Hawaiian necklaces to their competitors at competitions and rooting for the other teams as well as just their own. Although Cheryl is busy running her own gym, an all star team (HSC), and High School squads, you will still see her making time to walk the floor during class time at her gym, take time to watch her cheer leaders practice, and stop to say hi to parents in the viewing area during classes at Kidnastics. Kidnastics is true to its phrase, it is true quality gymnastics....and it is holding strong as I'm watching my next four year old come up through the program. One of my more recent discoveries , but DEFINITELY a fast favorite is WineStyles in the Shoppes at Rossmoor in Seal Beach. Whether you're an established wine connoisseur or just discovering your wine tastes and preferences, there's definitely something there for everyone. At WineStyles, there is more than meets the eye. Aside from an amazing selection of wines in wide varieties, all at reasonable prices, (most of which you will find under $25), there are great gift ideas as well. WineStyles, however, is more than just a wine store. First off, I highly recommned joining the mailing list...you will definitely be entertained by Todd Stahl's crafty event emails with titles ranging from "Sips n' Dips" to "Desperate Housewines." If you enjoy the emails, then you will definitely enjoy the wine tasting.. Jenn and Todd are both really knowledgeable and fun. Their wine tasting events are relaxing, entertaining and are far from the sales based wine tasting events you may have experienced in other stores. Their events are informative, fun and are varied enough to keep you coming back again and again. They are also offered on different days and times to fit everyone's demanding schedules.
